 GRAND OPENING & RIBBON CUTTING FOR LAMAR BUSINESSES

(Darlington, SC)-On Tuesday June 18th, 2008, at 9 a.m. the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its newest members at City Hall in Lamar. The newest members are Bernard’s Tavern & Grille, Main Street Cafe and Lamar Florist and Gifts.  

Bernard’s Tavern & Grille is a buffet seafood restaurant and grille located at 125 Main St. in Lamar and is owned and operated by Mr. Tom Langston. The Main Street Café has opened with Rusty Anderson at the helm providing a new menu and is located at 131 Main Street. The Lamar Florist and Gift Shop located at 111 Main Street has re-opened under new management, providing fresh flower arrangements and gift accents. 

The Town of Lamar has undergone a new facelift with several downtown development changes that support local commerce. The addition of these new enterprises in conjunction with the current operating businesses continues the family traditions that incorporate the commercial climate of the local area.
